Rams Raise Over $2 Million & Give Us a Laugh
The Los Angeles Rams got busy fundraising for the United Way and the Los Angeles Food Bank with a telethon last week. Their goal was $2 million, but they ultimately beat their own expectations with $2.3 raked in when they finished.
As a way of expression his thanks, the Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff got on Twitter to give their fans a good laugh by reading aloud the less than friendly tweets that have been coming in about the team’s new logo.
Jokes aside, the new logo is here to stay…at least for now.
Rams fans, thanks to you we raised over $2.3m for @LAUnitedWay & @LAFoodBank during our @ABC7 telethon. The deal was you raise $2m, I would read Mean Tweets about the logo. So here you go and thanks for helping Angelenos in need when it is needed the most! pic.twitter.com/HB6OTPzuRN

Kings Transform Old Arena Into Temp Coronavirus Hospital
You never know when having two stadiums is going to come in handy. The Sacramento Kings’ upgraded to a new arena not too long ago, and their old arena, Sleep Train Arena, wouldn’t exactly fit in the trash.
Last week, the Kings decided to turn it into a coronavirus surge hospital. They quickly got the help of the Department of Public Health and the US Army Corps of Engineers, who announced on Friday that they’d be joining forces to turn the empty arena into a field hospital.

And the Kings are even going a massive step farther than that: owner Vivek Ranadivé announced a donation of $250,000 from the team, along with 100,000 medical masks, to health agencies and community organizations that are helping provide resources to vulnerable families.
